There is lots of news for this letter so here we go.    O.R.M. [Online Race Management] is probably the biggest. It's simply a way to pre-register, manage, post and control our races. By pre-registering, you are speeding up our race day and saving money too. If you pre-register for both days there is a $5.00 discount. This will reduce the paperwork and get us racing earlier. Go to the ASNW home page and look for "Registration" for complete directions.    Tech will now be the first stop on Race Day. The Tech people will inspect your car. Please have all loose items removed, numbers on, race tires, etc. before going to Tech. Helmets will be inspected only once a year. We have new decals for them. The idea is to be ready to race when you get to Tech. After passing Tech you will be given a ticket with your car number on it. Take the ticket to Registration as proof of Tech. If you are pre-registered this will go quickly. Then take your ticket to Worker Assignments where your work station and run group will be written on it. That's it, ready to race.    Take note of the times though. These times will be strictly adhered to. Be early and have fun.    Gates Open------------7:00AM    Tech-----------------7:30--8:30    Registration----------7:30--8:45    Novice Walk and Talk--8:45-9:00    Drivers Meeting-------9:00-9:15---All drivers must attend.    Runs Start------------9:30    Run Groups have been changed. All classes run all day. The idea is to get more runs. No complete turn overs. Run groups will keep classes together as much as possible. Group 1 runs first while Group 2 works then switch after 3 runs and Group 2 runs while Group 1 works. If all goes well, we will break for lunch and start it all over again ,well fed, with 3 more runs after lunch. The next day [Sunday] we will reverse the run groups and do it again. 12 runs per weekend is the goal and have lots of fun doing it. All Races are scheduled for Double Day Events. The drops and number of races required to Trophy is yet to be determined.    Classes have been combined. Some similar SCCA classes have been combined into competition groups [ASNW Classes]. Racers still run their normal SCCA class but they now have more competition per ASNW Class. To keep everything fair, the combined classes will be Paxed. Pax is simply a handicap multiplier to even out car abilities within classing groups. A racer's raw time is multiplied by their Pax number to get their Pax time. The Pax. time determines who wins within the ASNW class. This is not new, except to us. Many clubs use it. It is just a way to have competition in lightly represented classes. There will be 3 trophies per class. These are the new classes:    S1-----SS,AS,BS,FS-----Paxed    S2-----CS,DS,ES,GS,HS-----Paxed    NS1----ASP,BSP,ESP,STU,STX-----Paxed    NS2----CSP,DSP,FSP,STS,STS2-----Paxed    NS3----Open, Modified or Prepared-----Paxed    SM-----SM    SM2----SM2    ST-----Street Tire, Greater than 140 Treadware Tires, No Open, Modified or Prepared-----Paxed    L------Ladies, all classes-----Paxed    V------Vintage, cars 25 years or older, 140 Treadware or higher, no Open, Modified or Prepared-----Paxed    N------Novice, No Open, Modified or Prepared, No season trophy-----Paxed    TO-----Time Only, No trophys    Schedule    All races are at Deer Park until further notice. Greyhound Park is planned at a time to be determined. SRP is hoped for but not determined at this time. Keep an eye on the Homepage for late breaking info.    April 19/20    May   17/18    June  21/22--Possible Greyhound Park    July  12/13    Aug.  23/24    Sept. 20/21    Oct.  4/5    Sibling Rivalry    We now have a sister club. SSSCC [Sand and Sage Sports Car Club] from Tri-Cities. They are a great group of racers that want to come here and race [mostly TRY to beat up on us]. Quite a few of our racers have been going down there for a few years and they want to reciprocate. They run a good race. 6 runs per day, double days, Sat. night dinner get together and few SM cars. ASNW members get member rates and vice versa but if you want to take away a season trophy, join there too. There is a Winter Heat there April 12/13 that promises to be a real [fake] grudge match. FTD will be very hotly contested. Weather in the 70's. NO SNOW. They also have a big Season Opener in Yakima at the Sun Dome in May. It is a large lot and generally a fast course. This is one you don't want to miss. You can even sign up for their races on the O.R.M. Saves you 5 bucks there too.    DRIFT ?????????    It's in the air right now. No one to run it. It can be after Sat. autox [at Deer Park] if there is enough interest. Anybody interested in making this happen should contact an officer, soon.    That's the big stuff. Lots of races. Lots of runs. BE EARLY or MISS OUT. We are determined to start runs on time. Now fix those cars, get new tires and come race.
